Elections: Filing a Petition with the FLRA
FEDSMILL (blog) (EXCELLENT blog with an abundance of tips and case studies for Federal union reps on winning grievances, midterm bargaining, and more - use the search function to find what you need in the back catalog)
CyberFeds (website/subscription) (constantly updated database of guidance from federal employment law experts on federal employee/labor relations issues. This is what agency HR/Labor Relations use.) *Opinion* It's expensive but the time/money/headaches officers and members will save are worth it, and your local should get access directly or by bargaining for your agency to cover the cost.
Job Accommodation Network (website) (Excellent resource and free consultation for federal sector disability/reasonable accommodations)
AFL-CIO Handbook for Federal Employees: A 1982 publication of the AFL-CIO, and while some of this information is out-of-date, some of it is still good, and it's good as a compilation of important topics to know as a federal-sector union member.
Federal Service Labor-Management Relations Statute (this is the federal law-Title 5, Chapter 3, Subpart F) that establishes collective bargaining rights for most employees of the federal government – learn more about it here.
