Chris Robledo
Communications Manager (he/him)Chris is a communications professional who uses digital strategy to build worker power and strengthen collective action. He serves as Communications Manager at the FUN, where he proudly supports efforts to build solidarity among federal workers, and strengthen the labor movement at a critical moment for democracy and public service.
He most recently worked at the California Teachers Association, where he helped lead statewide digital communications campaigns advocating for public school educators and the communities they serve. He managed social media and email platforms, and trained rank-and-file union members and chapter leaders to use photography, video storytelling and social media as organizing tools.
Previously, he worked with United Teachers Los Angeles on digital campaigns defending public education. One of his proudest projects was the “We Are Public Schools” campaign, which launched on more than 75 billboards across Los Angeles and was amplified through a coordinated social media strategy. The campaign educated union members and the broader public about the need for fair educator pay, smaller class sizes, student mental health support, equitable access to technology and safe, well-resourced schools. By combining storytelling, public visibility and digital mobilization, the effort countered corporate narratives while elevating the voices of educators and families.
As the son of Mexican immigrants, Chris is deeply committed to defending workers’ rights and standing with immigrant communities. He believes communications should do more than inform—it should mobilize, connect and empower workers to act together.
