The Trump administration has escalated its war on veterans and the services they have been promised. Yesterday, U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins unilaterally terminated collective bargaining agreements that cover more than 377,000 employees—nurses, benefits workers, doctors, and support staff who protect and serve our veterans every single day.
Let’s be clear: this is not about efficiency, security, or performance. This is an attack on workers and on our veterans—they are dismantling the rights of workers to prevent them from speaking out to protect our country’s veterans.
The real aim of the administration’s relentless attacks is to gut the VA and move billions of our public dollars into the hands of billionaires through contracts for inferior, privatized services. This administration has crossed yet another ugly line but across agencies and unions, federal workers are rising up and our power comes from our solidarity.
Workers have never needed permission to organize and never required recognition to use our power.

The Federal Unionists Network is building something that no administration can cancel through executive order. We are building power at the base, growing local hubs, launching worksite actions to protect the vital public services we provide to the public.

We took an oath. Now we take action—to defend our rights, protect public services, and stand together.
