On Jan. 28, the Trump Administration offered almost all federal employees the opportunity to resign now and receive full pay and benefits until Sept. 30. Two days later, the administration elaborated on the rationale: the country would achieve “greater prosperity” if people moved “from lower productivity jobs in the public sector to higher productivity jobs in the private sector.”
